My name is Marge Civil. I started my life with pet care when I washed dogs while attending college.
I volunteered with the Red Cross when at Clark A.F.B. in the Philippines at the base's veterinary clinic for two years. In addition to assisting the vertinarians I did laboratory work.
Then I was a veterinary receptionist at the Kirtland A.F.B. veterinary clinic in New Mexico for two years.
When I arrived in Colorado Springs I immediately got a position with a local veterinary clinic.
I then had to start a better paying career. My position with an Olympic sport governing body lasted for 23 year before I retired from the organization.
Since 1988 I have been volunteering with the Human Society of the Pikes Peak Region. I walk dogs, visit nursing homes, hospitals, senior homes and hospices with therapy pets. I help educating youth about the shelter. My work with cats include releasing cats after being neutered and transporting cats to local stores for adoption.
